  1. STOP SMOKING

You want to be cancer-free at 50? Then you need to stop smoking immediately. Smoking is expensive, smells very bad and it’s going to cause you health problems for sure. One of the Quora users, Cyndi Perlman Fink says that smoking is not worth it, and she is begging everybody to at least consider quitting smoking.

Sireesha Chilakamarri, one of the Quora users says that you can make lots of money through your whole life and you can buy anything you wish and desire. But, you cannot buy your health when is gone. So give up on junk food right now when you are 30.

One of the Quora users, Robert Walker is saying how important is to maintain good and healthy relationship in the family. Robert points out that in life you will come across many ideas and different issues, but that’s a part of your life where your family can help you with – to teach you how to get along with people you don’t agree with on many things. He says that he comes from a very argumentative family, and if you don’t know them well you will think that they hate each other. But that’s not true, because they try to speak out and the family ties are getting stronger.

Cyndi Perlman Fink, one of the Quora users says that she didn’t listen when she was younger, and didn’t used sunscreen every time she go outside to enjoy the sun. And now she has wrinkles and very thin skin from sun damage. And she also gets bruises very easily and her skin peels off. It’s very important to use sunscreen every time when you enjoy lying on the sun, she says.

This is also another advice from Cyndi. She says that we need to build an active lifestyle now so we won’t have many health problems when we are 50. Gaining weight is bad for our body and for our health generally. She said that she has been fat and skinny and skinny is healthier. Keep your weight at normal level, that’s good for you body, she says.

  1. SAVE MONEY, EVEN IF IT’S JUST A LITTLE BIT

We all know that this is boring, bad and unsexy suggestion, but is also very true. You need to start saving money. One of the Quora users Cliff Gilley says that in our 30s every average person has a lot of disposable income, and some of that income can always be set aside for use later in life.

The real thing that really matters in life is Happiness, and is far more important than any success. One of the Quora users, Robert Walker says that if you are satisfied with what you have, then you may be a bit less likely to end up as a millionaire, but you will be happy and live happier life. And if you really become rich person, you will be happier, productive and fulfilled rich person.

  1. DON’T STOP CHASING YOUR LIFE GOALS

We all have our personal goals in life. Someone wants to buy a house; have kids; get a second degree or third degree; learn how to fly a plane; how to scuba dive; start his own business; change his career; learn how to play new musical instrument. We all need to start today, says Quora user Bill Karwin. We all do say that “I’ll do that someday”, but the truth is that time start to accelerate and when you enter you 30s, it keeps accelerating even faster. So the time to chase your dreams should be right now.

Nan Waldman, another Quora user says that we need to go to sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time of the day. Sleep in dark room, or we can use sleep shades to block the light. Nan also says that we should avoid bright screens before bedtime and use stellar sleep hygiene.

We should all go to the dentist on time and get the cavities fixed as they come up. That’s a word of advice from another Quora user, Caroline Zelonka. Unlike other health problems, dental problems can only get worse – and things like crowns and implants are very uncomfortable, time consuming and very expensive. If the money is not a problem for you, then you should think about the pain that they can cause.

Stop wasting your money on buying things, and start collecting memories instead. Don’t wake up when you are 50 and you realize that you have wasted life gathering possessions. Memories can’t be burned in fire and they won’t depreciate, says Richard Careaga, another Quora user.

It supposed to be more than jumping out of an airplane – It has to be measured in days, not minutes or hours. And you will still remember it and you’ll still be smiling about it when you are old and creaky.

Travelling will change us like no one else can. It will put you in places that will force you to care for issues that are bigger than you, he says.

One of the Quora users, Rend De Nobel says that meditation is great, the list of benefits is endless, that it will cost you a small amount of time a day, small change in your life and the people who love and cherish will be amazing. She also said that the list of scientific studies to back this up is way longer, than it was 10 years ago.

You need to start your path of discovering yourself right now, if you wish to become stronger by the time you are 50 years old, says Satish Kumar Grandhi, one of the Quora users. He also says that when the day will come, when our body starts to show the signs of wear and tear, we will no longer see any fun in partying or trying to impress some people around us.

As the time goes by, and we get older, the only thing we are going to remember are the memories, but the thing is we can’t memorize them all. If we keep track our memories and things we did right away in some kind of journal, we can keep them forever in our lives.
