The Department of Pharmacology at the University of Seville in Spain published a study which says the following:
The most astonishing biological activities of resveratrol is its ability in terms of cancer. These biological activities have been the main concern in recent years. Namely, the resveratrol potential blocks the cancer process at different stages: initiation, promotions and progression.
Scientists says that resveratrol is unique due to the fact that its antioxidants protect the brain and the nervous system by crossing the blood-brain barrier. Other antioxidants don’t have this ability, that’s why resveratrol is unique.
Studies, which were recently carried by researchers at the Research Center for Nutritionism at Northumbria University in the UK, showed that resveratrol increased blood flow to the brain. These studies also showed that resveratrol is beneficial for healthy brain function and has neuroprotective effects.
In other words, the consumption of resveratrol increases protection against mental/cognitive problems, including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and others.
