Here’s it is: Over half of America is infected with a form of head lice that’s resistant to over-the-counter treatments.

Yes, you read that right. It was just reported by WPXI that the lice treatments no longer work.

Researchers presented their findings at the 250th American Chemical Society meeting in Boston. And what they’ve found will leave you speechless!

Kyong Yoon is the man who conducted the research and the results he found are alarming — to say the least! Yoon explained:

“What we found was that 104 out of the 109 lice populations we tested had high levels of gene mutations.”

… that’s over 95%! 

He continued:

“If you use a chemical over and over, these little creatures will eventually develop resistance. So we have to think before we use a treatment.”
