Country music fans are preparing for an emotional evening as some of the biggest names in entertainment come together to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Dolly Parton.
The two-hour television event, titled CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, will bring together artists from country music, bluegrass, Broadway and beyond for a heartfelt tribute to one of music’s most beloved figures.
A Star-Studded Lineup
The special features an impressive collection of performers, including Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Vince Gill, Zac Brown, Carly Pearce, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town and Lady A.
Other featured artists include Ashley McBryde, Ella Langley, Lukas Nelson, Molly Tuttle, Ricky Skaggs, Sierra Hull, Béla Fleck, Kristen Bell and Kristin Chenoweth.
Amy Grant and Kimberly Williams-Paisley will also make special appearances. Organizers have promised additional surprises, making the event a memorable celebration for longtime Dolly Parton fans.
More Than Music
The program will celebrate not only Parton’s remarkable musical achievements but also her generosity, creativity and lasting influence on generations of artists.
A special focus will be placed on her Imagination Library, the literacy initiative that provides free books to children and encourages a lifelong love of reading.
The Country Music Association and Belmont University will contribute part of the event’s proceeds to support the program, continuing a charitable mission that has touched families around the world.
A student ensemble from Belmont University will also participate, highlighting the importance of Parton’s career and creative achievements to the next generation.
When and Where to Watch
The tribute is scheduled to air Wednesday, October 21, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC and Disney+. Viewers will also be able to stream the program on Hulu the following day.
Filmed before a live audience at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville, the special will combine musical performances, personal stories and archival footage.
