Melania Trump Issues Stark Warning About AI During Visit With Military Families

First Lady Melania Trump and Second Lady Usha Vance made their first joint public appearance on Wednesday, visiting military families at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Later in the visit, Melania joined students and military families for a discussion centered on artificial intelligence, a topic she has increasingly emphasized through the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education as part of her Be Best initiative.

Speaking before Marines and their families, the First Lady warned that AI is poised to dramatically reshape the battlefield.

“Artificial intelligence will alter war more profoundly than any technology since nuclear weapons,” she said.

She explained that future conflicts will be defined by speed, automation, and rapidly advancing technology, adding that AI is expected to play a central role in military operations in the years ahead.

Her remarks highlighted both the opportunities and the challenges that artificial intelligence presents, particularly as governments around the world continue investing heavily in next-generation defense technologies.
