Love Beyond Time: Liam Neeson Continues Daily Conversations with Late Wife Natasha, 15 Years On

The acclaimed Irish actor and “The Parent Trap” luminary, Natasha Richardson, exchanged vows in 1994, and together they welcomed two sons: actor Micheál, 27, and fashion designer Daniel, 26.

Natasha tragically passed away in New York on March 18, 2009, succumbing to an epidural hematoma resulting from a skiing accident in Quebec, Canada.

During an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast, Liam graciously opened up about his beloved late wife, even after Conan apologized for inadvertently recalling a meeting they shared shortly after Natasha’s passing.

“It’s alright. We still have conversations every day, Natasha and I. Every single day,” he shared.

Reflecting on the birth of their son Micheál in 1995, Neeson disclosed that Natasha received a rather unconventional remedy after falling ill.

Since the passing of his cherished wife, Liam has chosen to maintain a public stance of singularity, frequently reflecting on her and their shared life during interviews.

During a conversation with Anderson Cooper on CBS in 2014, he recounted the heart-wrenching moment when doctors informed him of his wife’s irreversible condition upon his arrival at the hospital after her accident.

“She was on life support… I approached her and expressed my love. I said, ‘Sweetheart, you’re not going to recover from this. You’ve suffered a head injury,'” he shared.

“We had an agreement, she and I, that if either of us ended up in a vegetative state, we would choose to discontinue life support. So, my immediate thought was, ‘Okay, these tubes need to be removed. She’s no longer with us.'”

In 2022, Liam sparked a flurry of speculation when he mentioned that he had ‘fallen in love’ with a woman while filming in Australia in 2020.

However, he later clarified that his statement was not to be taken seriously. “It was nonsense,” Liam explained to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail. “I said, ‘I fell in love, but she was taken.’ It was a jest.”
