Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, also managed to visit her shortly before her death.

During that visit, Parton reportedly asked Seaver to be the person who would publicly announce her death. He subsequently prepared a speech and recorded the announcement at her studio on the final day of her life.

Reports claim that she travelled to Germany at one point to participate in an experimental cancer-treatment programme. She allegedly remained there for about a week before returning to the United States. The specific nature of the treatment has not been publicly disclosed.
