His son, Dakota Norris, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, accompanied by personal photos. “Dad, it’s hard to find the right words, but I’ll do my best,” he wrote. “Your generosity, kindness, courage, integrity, strength, discipline, and faith in the Lord were just a handful of the things I always admired about you. You lived with purpose and love for everyone. Thank you for everything you gave to our family. I hope I can live a life that honors you. I love you, Dad. I’ll miss you forever.”

Fellow actors and friends also paid their respects. Expendables co-stars Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, and Jean-Claude Van Damme expressed their sorrow, praising Norris’ humility, strength, and friendship. Lee Majors, star of The Six Million Dollar Man, reflected on his personal connection with Norris, calling him a kind and genuine soul both on and off the screen.

Priscilla Presley remembered Norris not only as her friend but as her Karate instructor, adding, “He will be forever missed.” Model and business partner Christie Brinkley shared fond memories of working alongside him on The Total Gym, highlighting his dedication, humor, and devotion to family.

Norris’ family confirmed that he passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. “To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and symbol of strength,” they said. “To us, he was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, incredible brother, and the heart of our family. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions and left a lasting impact.”

A decorated martial artist, Norris served in the US Air Force and trained in multiple disciplines, including Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo. He founded his own martial arts system, Chun Kuk Do, and trained numerous celebrities. His first major film role was as the villain Colt in Bruce Lee’s The Way of the Dragon, and he went on to become a global action star.
