LEARN HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS HOMEMADE BREAD IN A FRYING PAN

Do you remember the times you went to your grandparents house and a delicious bread aroma was spreading around the room? There are not many things that smell better than homemead bread. Homemade and commercial breads highly differ in quality – the homemade type is better and more nutritious as well. Plus, it has the nice aroma to go with it, which makes it very enjoyable. However, not all of us know how to make bread at home, and most people think that it’s complicated. However, there’s a simple recipe with easily available ingredients that will help you make a nice homemade loaf of bread.

Here’s what you need to do:

Ingredients

3 cups of flour

1 glass of warm water

1 package of yeast

½ tablespoon of baking powder

½ a tablespoon of vegetable oil

½ a tablespoon of salt

A bit of extra-virgin olive oil

2 cups of flour (optional)

Preparation

Mix the yeast, water and flour in a big bowl until you get a homogenous mass, then leave it for 15 minutes until you notice bubbles on the surface. Now, add the oil and salt, then add 2 more cups of flour and knead for about 10 minutes. Leave the mixture to rest for 2 hours afterwards until the dough doubles in size.

Once the dough is done, cut it into 8 pieces and start kneading them into shape. Cover them afterwards with a filter paper and leave them for 30 minutes. After half an hour, stretch the dough with a rolling pin to form 12 cm. discs in diameter with 5 mm. width. Heat a bit of olive oil in a pan and add the discs one by one, frying them for about 2 minutes per side. If you prefer the oven, put the discs on a baking pan greased with oil and bake them for 10 minutes at 240 degrees.

Beside tasting delicious, this homemade bread is very nutritious as well. Garnish it with some cheese, olives, lettuce, sardines, tomatoes, eggs or mushrooms and enjoy!
