At 79, Tom Selleck labeled ‘Sexiest Man Ever’ by fans after posing at his ranch in rare photoshoot

Just when you think you know everything about Tom Selleck, the Magnum P.I. icon manages to surprise you once more.

Though he’s approaching 80, the enduring Hollywood heartthrob still sports his signature devilish charm and rugged looks. In a recent interview with PEOPLE Magazine, accompanied by images from a rare photoshoot at his ranch, Selleck has left fans abuzz.

According to reports, Selleck is set to release a new memoir titled “You Never Know” on May 4, 2024, in which he describes his acting career as “accidental.” Needless to say, anticipation is high for readers eager to delve into the pages of his latest work.

Tom Selleck has every reason to be proud of his achievements in the film and TV industry. His iconic role in “Magnum P.I.” long secured his legacy, and he continues to garner acclaim for his work, most recently on “Blue Bloods,” now in its final season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him continue to apply his talents in new areas in the future.

Despite being 79 years old, Selleck looks remarkably younger, often seeming a decade less his age.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE Magazine at his 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California, Selleck shared that his entry into acting was somewhat serendipitous, motivated simply by his need “to get a job.”

“People often say, ‘Oh, he was bitten by the acting bug’ or ‘He wanted to be a star.’ I’ve never spoken like that. I just wanted to find work and keep working,” Tom Selleck explained.

And work he did. Selleck’s illustrious career began in the 1960s, and it’s a testament to his enduring star power and charm that he continues to attract new fans to this day.

A significant part of his appeal has been his renowned good looks, which have been admired by fans around the world for decades. It seems that even Father Time struggles to catch up with him. Following his recent interview with PEOPLE, new images of Selleck were released online, sparking the expected flurry of positive reactions.

It’s worth noting that last year, the 79-year-old raised some concerns among his fans when he was photographed in jogging attire and sporting a greying beard.

In a rare public appearance at the end of September, he was spotted driving his pickup truck near his home. Page Six, which obtained the photos, reported on the sighting.

The actor was virtually unrecognizable, having traded his signature mustache for a full beard while running errands in the San Fernando Valley.
